"My skin is kind of sort of brownish pinkish yellowish white. My eyes are greyish blueish green, but I’m told they look orange in the night. My hair is reddish blondish brown, but its silver when its wet, and all the colors I am inside have not been invented yet."
— Shel Silverstein (via infinitives)

Windows down, music up, green lights flash, and I’m off.
The sun was setting to my right, casting an orange glow on the street. The blonde tips of my hair whipped around my face in the breeze as I cruised around Irvine.
This is the kind of life I want to live someday. A life where I can spend my evenings in the local coffee shop, listening to the live music, drinking a blended latte on a hot day, and just write.
I wish I could really appreciate my major and devote myself to it without having to worry about other subjects and commitments. I want my characters to develop, to come alive, to have meaning. No more of that last minute patchwork of scenes and descriptions I collect over the quarter.
So I’m going to sit here, at Paradise Perks, with my chai tea latte and a shot of espresso, for the next three hours. And just write.
Last Friday, we bit the bullet and renewed our annual passes :O Our reasoning was that we’d have to go at least 4 times before we leave because of guests visiting SoCal so it would be worth it :D XD
So Jerrick and I went to the park at around 1 and met up with El and Rodney! We finally got our Disney date down heheh and it was a double-date too so it was a lot of fun =)
Then we met up with almost half of Thai Club at California Adventures XD
We covered so much that day:
- Mint Julep Bar
- Haunted Mansion
- Indiana Jones
- Dole Whip
- Splash Mountain
- Thunder Mountain
- Pizza Port
- Grizzly River Run
- Toy Story Midway Mania
- Little Mermaid
- Astro Blasters
- Star Tours
- Space Mountain
Followed by some late night pho in Westminister =)

I had such high hopes.
Everything was transforming into flawless cohesion.
And then things just spin out of control, and I’m left lying awake at night, endlessly scrambling my brain for a solution.
But then I realize that the solution is ultimately out of my control too…
I had a very Han-inspired lunch today. I sat outside next to the coffee cart, eating a chicken cashew sandwich while reading Norwegian Wood. The breeze blew through my hair and tingled my skin, chilling me the entire time.
I haven’t been able to take the time and read leisurely for a while. Every time I get the chance, I always wish that it would never end. I love falling into a story so deeply that I forget all of the things that keep me up at night. It’s so peaceful to sit and enjoy the air, undistracted and relaxed.
But then the peace shatters and I’m thrown back into the real world where conflicts box me into a corner.
Whatever happens, I’m going to believe in a happy ending.
